MEALS ON WHEELS
The Meals On Wheels program provides a nutritious meal to persons 60 years of age and older who are homebound and unable to prepare their own meals in the city of Grand Forks.  This program allows frail older people to remain in their homes by ensuring they receive proper nutrition and regular visits from our staff and volunteers.  If no one is home when the meal is delivered and arrangements have not been made, the Emergency Contact will be notified to ensure the safety of the older person.  Along with other in-home and community based services, the older person can remain independent.

CONTACT INFORMATION

Your Meals On Wheels Coordinator's job is to ensure that your meal gets to you hot and in a timely manner.  For information about qualifying for this program or if you have questions or concerns, please contact Heidi Nordin, LSW at 701-772-7245 or HNordin@gfseniorcenter.org

COST OF THE SERVICE

The full cost to provide a meal is $6.75.  The suggested donation is $4.00/meal.  We ask that you contribute what you can.  Federal, state and local funding will help fund the difference.  Checks can be made payable to GGFSCA.  All money collected goes back into the program to pay for more meals.  Food Stamps & EBT accepted.  Sorry credit cards and debit cards not accepted at this time.
